One Of A Kind
Poem

You tried to replace me.
Thought you could copy and paste a whole force of nature.
Thought if she wore her hair like mine,
laughed like me, texted like me,
you would forget the way I made your soul sit up and listen.
But let's be clear.
I am not HER.
I am not THEM.
I am not any of that.
I AM the blueprint you fumbled.
I AM the spark you didn't know how to hold.
You do not get women like me twice.
Women with backbone and medicine,
with soft palms and sharp vision -
who love you like a mirror,
and leave like a storm when you stop showing up.
You thought I was a phase.
Cute little moment.
A vibe.
A memory.
Nahhhh.
I AM a standard.
And now?
Everything feels like a knockoff cause your spirit knows you had the real thing...and let it slip.
They don't move like me.
They don't speak truth with a glance, or carry fire behind calm eyes.
They don't make you feel SEEN and SHAKEN at the same damn time.
See - I AM NOT one in a million.
That's a statistic.
That's a lottery.
I AM ONE OF ONE.
Divinely issued.
God's flex.
And you?
You gambled with gold thinking you could mine, I mean find ME again.
But baaaaaybeee,
I was the vein.
The source.
The depth.
The glory.
And now you out here digging through glitter thinking it's gold.
trying to build a throne.
You will NEVER find me again,
not in another name,
not in another laugh,
not in another body you try to convince yourself feels like home.
You had a rare thing.
A wild thing.
An original.
And you lost it.
Not because I wasn't enough,
but because you weren't ready for a woman who was E V E R Y T H I N G.
ONE.
OF.
A.
KIND.
